Learn how to manage your waste: How to Manage Residential Waste

Trash pickup is on Tuesday and Friday, recycling pick up is on Tuesdays!

If you have questions or concerns about refuse pickup, please call Penn Waste at 717-767-4456.

Recycling guidelines have changed. Click here to see how to prepare your recycling for pick up.

Note: The borough receives money based on the total weight of recycled material. Help the environment and your borough by recycling as much as possible!  Additional recycling bins are available for purchase in the Borough Office for $10.

SHARPS: Needles and other “sharps” originating from the home should NOT be placed in a recycling bin OR flushed down a toilet.  Residents should place all sharps in either a sharps container (available at pharmacies and medical supply stores), or in a sturdy plastic container such as a laundry detergent bottle.  When full, place the container or bottle containing the sharps into the GARBAGE can, not the recycle bin.  Never place loose sharps or needles in a garbage bag.  Help keep our sanitation and recycling workers safe!
